I was listening to post-it-and-sell on the local radio and there was a trampoline for $100. So I called and they still had it. I checked it out before work and it looks practically new. Their kids are to old to jump on it now I guess that makes me a big kid cause I still like to jump on them and I am almost twice as old as the youngest Anyhow just wanted to share.
Cool! We scored today, too - freecycled "oak" cabinets. Turns out that they aren't ALL oak, just oak FACED, so she misstated, but just probably didn't know to state any differently. Anyway. Way more cabinets than we have now, but the one under the sink is near rotten and really needs to be replaced. These are a lighter color than the current ones, so if you replace one then you'll have to replace them ALL. Dh is talking about taking out the food pantry and just stacking the cabinets on top of each other in its place, plus replacing cabinets under the bathroom sinks and making medicine cabinets out of a couple of them for the bathrooms. Anyway. Cool score! Our trampoline needs a new mat; no idea when that will happen.
Hey thats how we got our kitchen cabinets. Dh is a carpenter, he was working a remodel. The kitche was a vacation cabin not even a year old and they were redoing everything. Free is good.
We got one of those nice portable basketball hoops for $100 the other day at a garage sale. (More than I like paying at a garage sale, but it runs about $200 new!) It's at my cousin's place; we're saving it for the kids for Christmas. I told Carl a few weeks earlier that I really wanted to get them one this year!
The tramp is for Alison's bday on the 31st. I think that they will get it early though, we are going to pick it up sat. The girls have wanted one forever. Honestly, so have I (never had one myself as a kid)
We miss our big trampoline (with enclosure) that we had in KY. It was weather-worn so when we moved, it was pointless to set it up because it needed all new stuff......plus our new subdivision is PICKY about things like that and you have to get approval for everything. Anyway, now we have new sod so I know DH won't want one because it'll kill the grass underneath (even if you move it around the yard (we've tried that before). BUT, we sure do love them (Mommy included). Rhonda
I just got this from a friend yesterday, and thought I'd send it on to y'all..... It is titled: Why trampolines aren't a good idea in Minnesota.....
You know, Genie, I know you're not in Minnesota, but I bet you could get something like that in Wyoming, too!!!
