Seriously - we signed up for Kolbe... and I had backed out of it before when my kids were younger.... but for high school this is awesome!!

I have bugged our poor adviser over the last few days for transcript write ups and scenarios trying to do what's BEST for my 17 year old.

Both kids are now going to go with the Magna diploma vs the standard. Her's is tough - but since we can eliminate history we can do it. Haven't told them I'm throwing them a Government class though next year.

She wanted to graduate early but honestly she won't and that's ok with me. She doesn't know what she wants to do - but I think that if she goes through with all of this then she can move onto the local community college... she THINKS she wants to do ASL to English interpreting and our cc overs a 2 year degree for that (which is great because she wouldn't have to pay for that - state compensates for older children in the foster care system)

But I FEEL better having a plan.

This also means I won't need to spend so much next year!! I'll need to get Astronomy over the summer.... Jake & Karina will take that together..... Apologia Chemistry..... Alexis's Math LifePacs.... and I think that's about it! I have Spanish II for Alexis already.... and I have enough stuff for her to take History (yeah Simple Schooling!!)... then I already have Biology for her....

I have to put everyone on paper and double check - but I should be good to go ;)

And no - I'm not putting Alexis in 9th grade... the local middle school is giving credit for high school to the 7th graders who pass Spanish I and it's the same type of workbook/text book she's doing now - so I'll give her credit as well as a 7th grader taking a high school class.

I really hope it stays this way - seriously. But it's nice to have someone to listen to my issues and understand what I'm thinking.
