    Hi everyone,
I wanted to know how many of you have home businesses? Do you have the business or is it something the husband does or something you do together as a family?

What kinds of businesses do most of you have?

    :D

We're in the midst of opening our own business... supplying home school curriculum, supplemental curriculum for public educator's and school supplies...

We have a home business in network marketing. After years of various online and offline home businesses we finally got fed up with the inventory, the expensive monthly autoships, the selling. Now, we simply let people go to our website and watch a simple 7-minute movie. If they signup they get their own domain name for life, a website, webhosting and upto 10 email addresses and it's only $10 a month.

We were able to try it for free for 7 days, and then figured for $10 a month it was worth it. We are so glad we did. We're not rich or totally supported by it, yet, but it's heading that way and we are helping people.

Having been a high school physics and math teacher and still being licensed, I tutor students out of my home. It's not big $, but it pays for groceries and such. Plus, I can generallly set my own hours; generally, by the time the public school students are able to get here, I've been long done homeschooling my two.

I used to breed German Shepherds and Standard Poodles (the big "French Poodles" to some). It wasn't extremely lucrative, but it was my passion. However, the poodles sold for much higher prices and we were able to pay off debts with it. I had to stop breeding them when it became too consuming. Not that it was time consuming so much as it was mentally consuming me. I neglected my family and home in a big way.

After that I had another home business and my mind did the same thing. Now I know it is better for me to work part-time away from home so I can leave my work there and not think about it at home, too. Maybe someday I'll get the go ahead from the Lord to have another homebased business, but I can definitely say it isn't now.

I have my own home-based business as a Designer with Home & Garden Party.
I never thought that I would have a job in sales, but I love the fact that I'm my own boss and can set my own hours. It's the perfect job for me, as I can be home all day with my kids, and my dh watches them when I go out to "work". I put "work" in quotes because "when I work, it's a party"!!!
The money is a great help- buys all our Christmas gifts each year, takes us on vacations, buys alot of our clothing, and our homeschool curriculum!

Since I only have my 3 year old I run a daycare and preschool out of my home. It's half of our income. I'm not sure what I'll do when he reaches "school age", but it's not a long term job for me. I just want my house back sooner or later and want to enjoy seperating work from home. I'll hopefully be opening a daycare out of my church by then:).
