DON"T EVER MOVE! Hey too late, a lot of ya'll probably have

HOW EVER did we get so much JUNK???? I had as much homeschool curriculum to sale as anything..

Not too mention the 3 garage sales and 2 months of ads in the paper for furniture

I'm so glad we can finally get back to homeschool, now only if I can find that box

Right now, muscles are sore on body that I didn't even know I had...

I'm just so glad to be back, a BIG HUG to ya'll......

Tina, Welcome back! We really missed you. Sorry I already moved a few times it's not fun. It's not bad if its just two of you but boy it gets hard when there is more of you.
Hope everything starts to settle down for you all soon and you all get to enjoy the hot summer months in Texas.

BTW (again), I didn't hear where you moved or why. Too bad you had to do that!

We actually did move a little over 3 years ago now---YUCK, yuck, yuck. Don't wanna do it again for a LONG time! We moved across town to a better neighborhood and a bigger house (so we could breath)! We love our home and neighborhood, so it was a very positive change, but after living in the other house for 12 years, and aquiring 3 children during that time....well, let's just say there was a LOT to go through!!! I KNOW that we've already settled in well here, so it'd be a huge job again!

At any rate, glad that part is behind you. Hope you find all your homeschool stuff soon so you can continue on!

We moved in February to a different state--well, that amounts to across the Mississippi, but still, it took some adjusting! We threw a bunch of stuff away, so I don't have anything left to yardsale  .

Hope you get settled in quickly! Glad you're back!

    Deena,
I had to laugh when I read your post because poor Tina....they moved maybe 11 miles away from their very BIG house to a very small house that they will rent until they build another house that fits their family needs, since they now have 3 and are homeschooling 3.

I can tell she's happy and sad by the whole thing. They are excited because they will travel and have fun and then build again, which is fun but...ya know stress and then moving again. ugh! She's a trooper I tell ya. She headed to Houston today for a homeschool conference. I told her she's got more spunk than me! I'd wanna rest for a few weeks.

Anyway send her a big energy hug. I know she needs it right now! :)

Tina: We move about every 2 to 3 years with my husband job. My dd's are beginning to like it and see all the new things. But, as they get older it's not fun all the things you have to pack.
Oh by the way How do you find out where all the Homeschool things are going on in Texas I would love to hit a couple but don't know where to look.
    Thanks

Hey girls, so nice to hear from each of you :D

Someone told me once that it should be a law to move every 5 years to just MAKE us get rid of the crap! I'm thinking I MIGHT tend to agree, but again somehow the crap just wasn't bothering me   It was put away out of sight.. Ask me in another couple of weeks when I can sit down without my bottom hurting!!!!

Yep, Sheila, is right Deena. We had TOO BIG of a house and a lot more formal areas than I want or need. We have moved to a house that is 5 times smaller than what we lived in which is COMPLETELY fine with me..5 bathrooms was too much to clean. We will build again, so this isn't the last move for me, but it was a good one like yours and Brookes.. But this will be our 3rd time to build so hopefully we have it down by now.

You know its so funny how homeschooling affects your every decision (well at least with me  ). When we first built the big house, I had just started hsing and thought the 2 built in bookshelves were be enough. Little do I realize now that there will never be enough room for the books  They will and do just spill out in the living room and every other room... Bathroom???? too

But I guess the other thing as a newbie homeschooler then, I thought maybe like a lot of newbies, school them for the younger grades, then put them back into highschool, etc. WELL WELL WELL how things change after you school for a while..

One thing I know as long as we can and God sees fit we will homeschool all the way through........

So I want a definite school room with back doors to a covered porch for outside science activities, 5 times the built in bookshelves/storage, a place for a big screen Tv to watch they wonderful nature/body and history dvds along with a huge square table on the floor for sitting Indian style on the floor and doing map work and general work. Did I mention a counter or bar of sometype for microscope activities? Yep I still want some type of desks for each kid, but also a place for a couch and relaxing on the floor..

Instead of planning a kitchen, I'm planning that school room (hee hee)...

Since we downsized considerably, the next move shouldn't be near the hard work. My first load to the donation bank was 28 bags of clothes and that was JUST mine.

Oh well, it feels good to be *light* again as far as furniture and clothes too....

It feels good to be here again chatting with ya'll...

    Blessings
