but a month into this homeschooling thing and I am...Still In LOVE with it  yes I know a month in isn't very far, but we are having a blast.

Since his books have come it, it seems to have gotten even better, we are enjoying the structure and schedule...I HATE schedules lol hubby says I am too much of a free spirit to be tied down to a schedule...but the way I have ours, it is working really well and the kids are doing great with it, it actually doesn't even feel like a schedule, so I am guessing I did it right for once...lol

Even my daughter who just turned 4 is in Love with school, she asks to do it everyday, even on our 2 days off and I let them if they want to, but my 12 yr old usually just wants his days off...lol

So far there has been no complaining and the fussing and fighting between the kids has lessened dramatically...I am soooo Thankful and Feel soooo Blessed to be on this journey with them...I feel like I can conquer the world when I am teaching them something and it "Clicks" for them. I have noticed that "I" look forward to teaching them and get so happy thinking about it and all the fantastic stuff there is to learn and explore out here in this big ol world of ours.

I just wanted to Thank you all for making a place to come and share our journey with others who understand. :D

So glad it's working out so well! Consider yourself really lucky. Many have difficulty finding the "right" schedule/routine for them. It sometimes takes a bit of experimenting until it clicks. It sounds as if you hit it right the first time!!!

I'm like you, Im a free spirit as well.(dh calls it rebellious) schedules to me are creativity crushers but my kids thrive on structure so I have to have some. I've been doing this for 3 yrs and I can't conceive of any other lifestyle. when you find your groove it just makes everything sooo much easier!
