On another forum I go to, there is a prayer request and it has been asked to pass the request along to all of our Christian circles and to ask others to intercede through prayer for this family. 1) If you go to http://www.dcschool.org/ you will see a complete story and updates of this young lady. Her name is Grace, she was on a missions trip (17 years old) and fell 70 feet from a cliff. Her injuries include a shattered elvis, broken ribs, punctured lung, mulitple head and facial injuries. Emergency surgery was performed on Sunday night (the original accident happened on April 3) to relieve peessure on the brain. There is an update on this website (as of this morning). I don't recall all of the details - please visit the website for an update. This family needs us to strengthen them through prayer. Brenda
Oh my! She attends school just up the road from us! I'd not heard anything about this. Will mention it to the kids this morning.
How horrible for this young girl and her family to go through. I hope she continues to improve and her surgeries go well. I will certainly say a prayer for her and her family. What a long road ahead!
I did mention it to the girls yesterday, and Rachael was already aware of it! They had discussed it on the Christian radio station the kids listen to.
UPDATE I go to the website frequently to read about the progress Grace has been making, but on the AWANA forum website a couple of Grace's friends have posted there thanking everyone for their prayers and telling of the miracles in her life since the accident. A little over a month ago, doctor's didn't think she would survive, but she is walking (a mile the other day), playing piano again, basket ball, volley ball you name it. God is so good. She will soon be discharged from the hospital to home. The prayer requests they are asking for now are for an easy transition from hospital to home and for upcoming surgeries in the future. Brenda
