Hello, My name is Jeannie and Im new to homeschooling. We will be starting in 3 weeks and Im so nervous. Im praying that I will do good teaching my soon to be 9yr old. I decided to pull him out of public school because he is ADD and they refuse to help him in anyway. he is so smart I think we will be using the Alpha Omega A. Does anyone else use that online school? I could really use some advice, i know that there are so many different options. thanks
welcome Jeannie! it's always tough starting out but it is so worth it! I have a ds7 who if he were in ps he would probably be diagnosed as ADD and I personally cannot see him sitting in front of the computer long enough to complete an online curriculum. yours may be different(some respond to screen time better) but you never know what works for him until you try! be willing to try anything. keep us updated about how he's doing!
Welcome. Have not used Alpha Omega. One of the nice things about hs is that when a child needs a break, they can take one. When our son gets restless from sitting, he goes out and bounces on the trampoline for about 15 minutes. After that he is ready to sit some more.
