Maybe its just my monitor.....I'm trying to figure out to read everything too..... Still looking but it look like we might have gotten rid of some our smilies....let me see It look like I can't put more than one icon in a message....off to mess with this some more
Hey, have been playing with this a few minutes.. I had to go to Edit Options to change the time to *my time*. After I posted the first time, it said 12:44 pm. and I KNOW I am just drinking my first cup of coffee ROFL... I had to change quite a few things on there.. The other one that was important to me was checking to receive emails from ya'll....Okay it looks like we can't have smilies in the text anymore..Not sure, but still checking that one out. Also in the same one you can *hide your on line status*.. I don't want EVERYONE knowing how addictive I am to this site..and come here at all weird hours ROFL..
Wow Tina this is really different. I got a letter from Amanda saying she had to make some changes and boy did she ever. I hope and pray I can get use to it. I love the old site better but that's everyone we get use to something and we don't like the changes. Oh well. Some thing more for a old lady to figure out how to do. I am not good with computers to began with now I have to figure the site out. But, I am sure we all will do ok.
I still have to fix some things - be patient. This was a last minute change - I discovered a security hazard and was faced with the option to either close the forum temporarily or switch things right then. Most things imported quite nicely, but other things need some more attention.
I'm enjoying the changes, especially the preview window for the threads. I have long wished we had that here, like it is at atoz.

Amanda.. Thanks so much!..you really look after us very well!. I sure enjoy this site...and yes all new things always have *kinks and bumps,etc* I don't know if the smilies are going to stay. When I clicked in faq it shows that we have the ones we use too but they don't show up at the bottom when you reply...and well I wanted to edit my avatar and when I cleared it then nothing showed up to have me upload it from my browser..soooo I know all *good things in time*.. I like to click anyway,so now i get to click around a little more often to *check things out* LOL Oh well, thanks for making the needed change for security reasons...*i think hackers are right up there in my book with other serious criminal offenders*(grrrrr)

I am of the mindset *if it ain broke, why fix it?* But in this case, sounds like Amanda is on top of things :wink: with a security problem. Yep, it will take me some time to get use to it too :grin: In the meantime, I will try out all these smilies. It says it will convert them to icons if I type them in. So I'm trying it Yep, I like having that preview window too Becky. When I was on slow dial up that is a nice plus to have,kwim? Okay off to see if my *typing* converted to *icons* :lol:
Girls Girls life comes with changes. Just because we have trouble with them does not mean that they are bad. Does that sound like your mother? LOL I just had to do that. LOL
I think I'm getting used to the new look. Kinda like when your favorite cosmetics company discontinues your favorite color lip stick and then you shop for a new color, nothing looks good because you got used to your favorite color.
