I just found a great Community Service Project today!!! I go to Curves, and today they had these blankets out. The fleece kind, that are tied along the edges. Turns out, they are for an organization that donates blankets to foster children. When the child is removed from their home late at night, they are given a blanket to hold onto. I picked up the brochure about it, and the gal who had placed it happened to be there. She and I had a really nice talk. They do workshops, where the kids can come in and tie them. They also accept quilted, knitted, crocheted, whatever. But even the youngest members can tie them!

I wouldn't want mine around that behavior, either. That's what I like best about homeschool classes- these homeschooled kids are almost always the best behaved. I've seen very few exceptions. There is a pair of sisters at one of Jeannie's classes and they are two of the snottiest girls I've ever seen. I don't get why they behave like that.
