Praising God that Jack is okay, after seeing those pictures, not even knowing him, I cried. Praise God he came away from that with his life. I have similar pictures of my Mother's car from her accident 2 years ago. She was not as fortunate, it was her time to go home to be with the Lord. My cousin Monique got saved at her funeral. My mom was already His, but Monique was not. I do not question the Lord in why He took her, I know why. He did it for Monique. I miss my mom. But am comforted I'll see her someday. I am praying for Jack, every day. Sounds like I'm inline with God b/c He seems to be working Miracles. Praying for those who will be saved by the testimony of God's faithfulness to you all during htis time. THEY are watching, you are living victorious and THEY will see it. GOD IS BEING GLORIFIED in your witness during this trial, in your faith and comfort in Him. Stand strong, dear sister. Praying for you too. Krista
Amen, Amen, and Amen! That is just beautiful. You have truly allowed the Lord to grant you wisdom during this time. It is during times like these that we either crumble or allow our faith muscles to flex. I am so happy and blessed to see you and your family growing stronger!
Jen, I hope you all had a great weekend and that Jack is still improving every day. I pray for you all each morning and can't wait to hear that his healing is complete. Beth
Hey there ladies! Consider me BACK! I sooooo love reading this thread. Thank you for all the support and all of the cards and stuff. Your blind kindness is one of the key things that led my husband to God! Now for an update: We have been reimbursed for the loss of our vehicle by the other insurance company. A pretty fair price, actually. Any compensation in relation to what one may consider for a lawsuit is always available to us, but not being completely discussed until we know what DH's long term injuries are. (We have 2 years, in Texas to file) He is in physical therapy 3x's a week for the next 4 weeks. He likes it, but hates it, of course. He has returned to work one day, for about 2 hours. As the Director, he mostly just sits in his chair giving directions and making phone calls to clients. He will go in tomorrow for a couple of hours. This makes him very happy. He has all of your cards tacked to the wall of our new bedroom. He NEVER would have done that before. We moved into a downstairs 2 bedroom apartment and all of our stuff is scattered in boxes piled 8 feet high in the dining room! haha! We found the car and took photos... http://www.flickr.com/photos/kitchenkam/sets/72157600298123978/ And we have become closer as a couple than we ever had before. Thank you for being our friends! You have made all the difference!
This sounds like my dh's dream job! You can tell him that on the crappy days. Seriously, though, I'm glad to hear it is going so well. Welcome back!
Jennifer, Im so happy to read that your dh is home and doing better. I will still and always keep you all in my prayers!!!
Jennifer---This is soooo great! It's interesting how God can work to turn bad things into good things! We will keep you and your family in our prayers!
So glad to hear how things are going. I pray for your family every morning and each update is so good. I am glad Jack is able to work some. How are the kids doing? My dad was in a bad accident when I was 6 years old. I have a fear of large trucks getting too close to our van to this day. Beth
My family loves you guys Jen!! I am so glad that out of such tragedy good things have happened! We hope to see all you guys really soon.
I am so glad to hear he is making his way back to normal. That is wonderful. I am so happy he is able to go back to work some now. That is a God thing!!! I pray God will continue to bless you in a extra special way. Lorna
We want to come visit sometime. Maybe in a week or two, but it will have to be AFTER church! hahaha!
My husband generally doesn't have time to notice too much what goes on in this forum, but he sat down beside me when I saw the pictures of the wreck and wanted to look at every single one. He didn't want me clicking too fast and noticed things that I hadn't noticed, like that the top of the car was probably cut off. "It's got to be a miracle!" he said.
Actually, the car did roll at least once, but the fire department used the "Jaws of Life" to cut the roof off the car to extracate Jack from the car. If he (Or anyone, for that matter...) would like to see the five graphic photos of this happening, send me your email in a private message. I didn't put them on flickr. here is no blood visable, but you can see Jacks body laying in the car and I didn't want children to see it. It was actually theraputic for me and him to see them. They were taken by the fire department themselves. These men, and the cops work with my husband everyday, so they were also working on someone they knew, which is why they sent us the photos. Anyway... let me know....
I can't get to the pictures using the link you provided, Jen. Were they pulled or am I doing something wrong?
Try again, sorry... And regarding the link to the original photos.... I JUST learned that because they are on Flickr.com any one who sees them has to be using thier YAHOO.com email account to log in..... Something about yahoo and flickr merging...sigh.... I have my own domain and will host them myself. I just need a day or two to get it done.
I'm glad that it wasn't just me not being able to see them. (yahoo got in the way) Jen, I was telling my dad about the accident, and I learned more about his (when he was 17) I knew he was in th car accident, but I didn't know he was run over by a car too on the same event.
