I'm new to this forum, as well as the whole online forum scene. Forgive me if I fail to know some of the etiquette involved. I'll rely on some of you seasoned members to correct me if I'm doing things wrong.:)

I live in Northeast Ohio and have 3 kids and 2 (plus one on the way) grandkids. I've only got one at home now. My son is 11 and will be moving on to 6th grade work in a couple of months. My wonderful husband and I have been married 30 years this month.

Is there a thread where some of you discuss and trade curiculum?

I look forward to meeting some of you:D

    Welcome!

You can discuss curriculum in the general homschooling section and most folks who are looking for or offering curric just post in there too and people can PM (private message them) if interested.

There's several Buckeyes here. I live in central Ohio. Where are you at?

If you're interested, the state homeschool convention is coming up in Columbus. It's VERY helpful for both veterans and those just starting out. If you're interested, I believe the website is www.cheohome.org

I'm Jackie. I'll be starting Year 10. My kids are dd14 (in two weeks!), dd12, and ds8.

Welcome! Yes, we just discuss curriculum in the general homeschooling forum. If someone is interested in buying or has something to sell, we post it there as well.

My boys are 9, 5, and almost 4 and we've been homeschooling for 2 years now. :) Nice to meet you and looking forward to getting to know you!

Welcome. I'm new to this site also. I haven't figured out how it all works yet. I'm not sure how to start new discussions yet.

I have 3 children. Daughter 13, Daughter 7 and Son 3. I will begin our homeschooling adventure in a year as the school my children currently attend (public) will be closing due to low attendance and finances. I will homeschool my youngest two children in a year. I am excited and nervous. I am dealing with unsupportive in-laws. Fortunately, my parents ARE supportive. My husband is great and I am very blessed in that regard as he is very supportive. I am excited to get to know other homeschoolers. I need encouragement and support to figure out how to deal with a small rural community that isn't very familiar with homeschooling AND judgemental in-laws.

Nicole, go to the forum you want to start a thread in. Then, at the top left, you will see a place to click that says "Start A New Topic". Click there, and you can add your thread.

It seems every site does things just a little bit differently!

I am new too. I have an 11 year old son that I am starting to hs this year while simultanously moving from Europe to the US AND having a baby.

Still, I think we will manage.
