I am in Texas and Love my Texas Homeschool lobbyist and how free we are, here in Texas... however....

Hubby informs me that we MAY move to Kansas next year. Yes, I ran over to HSLDA's site and did some diging. I read the laws and deciphered their stuff.

My question is this, Here in Texas, we have 99% freedom with no notification, testing, attendance, record keeping, or regulation really....

I know that Kansas is a "Yellow" state, where Parental Notification is required... Could someone from Kansas please tell me what the "Real Deal" is?

    What is it really like?
Do you have to submit anything?
    Get approval?
    Whom do you call?
    What is the experience like?
Do you have to do it each year?
And anything else a "Wild Woman" from Texas may not think to ask...?

    Pretty please!

    Thanks!
