We are taking a break this week, call it fall break if you will. We have some major projects we are working on with the house that have to be done before winter so this week is that. That means I'm doing lots of cleaning so we can get the projects done in the evenings and this weekend. Dd has been asking to make a no sew blanket for a while now, she has a few that were made for her but she wants to try making one. I found in my closet a no sew sleeping bag I got at a garage sale for like $2 over a year ago. I kept planning to make it and hadn't gotten to it yet. I helped dd cut the strips and she is tieing them to make a sleeping bag. It has no directions so we are kind of making it up as we go but basically we are tying the bottom and the uncut side. The third side is just the fleece folded so no cutting or tying there. She is happily working away on this though while giving me a chance to clean. She also has been doing lots in a brain power book of brain teasers. Things that require little or no assistance from me but are keeping her busy and not a video game. She has been enjoying educational tv and documentaries as well.
