Well today was one of those days. Went to the next town about 40 miles away. Got some of the shopping done but at the second store trying to find shirts for the kiddo's my 3 1/2 yo did the unbuckle the belt and dive out of the shopping cart seat. Crash to the concrete floor he went. Well I picked him up and his head just started bleeding like crazy. Figured to get the bleeding stopped so went and got some paper towels. The staff at the store were very helpful. After I looked him over saw that he had a 1 inch long cut that definately needed stitches or something. After filling out an accident report with the store and dealing with the police/fireman/and paramedics that got called by a woman who told me i wasn't taking care of his wound properly it was off to the hospital. 4 staples later then we got to head home. (the hospital was exceptionally nice and got great treatment) This is the second time my youngest has had to get staples in his head. the 1st time was a fight between him and older sister. Just last week my 5yo got the staples out of her head (again from her and little brother wrestling around) UGh! I am so tired of emergency rooms and kids getting staples. Little guy will be ok, even now he's off to play video games with big brother (some bible game for xbox) Hopefully these 2 little ones will learn to get along better or at least not cause injury to each other......
Why do others think they know so much more about how to take care of your children than you do?! I'm sorry that happened, kids are so fast with that kind of thing! Glad you got good service at the hospital at least! Hope he heals fine, and you don't have to do the staple thing again!
poor kid, I hope he gets better soon. Still, I was a little relieved when I heard that's all it was, when I first looked at the topic the image of a toddler holding a staple gun came to mind.
