I agree, big break can be difficult for us too. I know several people who do year-round school.

Let's see, sd finishes up Chemistry on the 30th, English should be done by 6/5, home ec. by 6/12, Math by 6/23, Latin by 6/23 and then History by 7/15 (argh). I am hoping that once sd finishes some of the other work she will catch up on History but I do not have a good feeling about it.

We finished up at the end of April. May is our month break, then we'll start again June 1st. We're spending the month working on the house. We did some rearranging & brought everything home from storage & I haven't had a chance to get it all put away & organized yet. So, we're taking care of that this month. I've already got next year planned & our materials are all here. I just need to finish making a few things for the topics that I couldn't find materials for.

We finish tomorrow (Friday 5/22). We'll do some "light school" during the summer and start back full force late July/early August.

Tomorrow is our last day officially. We have been done with everything since yesterday but we are finding a few things to finish up to get all our days in. I am so ready for the break and so are the girls. We won't do a lot this summer because I always say we will and then we get busy/lazy and don't do anything. This year I am saying we won't do any work and who knows, maybe we will. At this point I just want a break. Allergies have zapped my energy this Spring and I am just worn out. My sister opens her pool on Monday and I am so ready for it. It just needs to get a little warmer here.

Today is our last day. We will be on a light schedule for the summer...I am hoping to get in 2 days a week. I am going to make up "plans" to cover 2 days and the boys can do them through out the week. We only have to count days here, so we will just date our 180 days.
We got both the girls graduated...but now we still have the wedding for dd#1 and dd#2 is going to Scotland on a mission trip. I quit my job, but still have to work through the middle of June.
I am going to have to do some soul searching on ME this summer.

I'm sure you'll get all caught up. I hope after you have completed everything you get a chance for a break.

Well, enjoy what's left of your break month, although it sounds like you've been pretty busy.

A lazy summer sounds good to me. I wish we could, but we have done that the last 2 summers and I found that they lost a lot, plus we are a little behind this year, so I want to play catch up a but.

We'll probably only do a few days a week and then shorter hours.

I hope you see some relief from your allergies.

We will be taking a little break but not much. I plan to do light schooling(a little math, phonics) with dd(next year is her 1st year homeschooling fulltime) in July and then with sd we will be starting most classes in August. Sd graduates next year and we want her to be done by graduation (end of May/begining of June) so we talked about it and she agreed she should start some of her classes over the summer.

Our last day will be Friday, the 29th. We plan on starting back the middle of July. For the 5-6 weeks we are off, we'll be actually off for the most part. Other than just some free reading, maybe touching on math to keep it in his hard little head.... :)

Our last official day is Friday. We have been doing light work since we tested at the end of April. We probably won't do anything during the summer except some summer reading programs and maybe a field trip here and there.
