I was wondering if anybody who has actually used these would greatly reccommend the DVD's. Could I get buy without the DVD's? They might be nice but I don't want to spend over $50 if I don't have to.

I have no latin background but I'm wondering if the pronunciation cd would be enough for us.

    Thanks

Sorry. I don't know. I have Latin for Children, and they're pretty much essential for that, so I would expect the same of any Latin curriculum. Have you checked Cathy Duffey's site? She's usually pretty good about telling you what's necessary.

We have used the DVD's and I liked them. Mind you, we got them the first year they came out so I bet they are even better now. My DD ended up hating Latin, but there was nothing wrong with the Memoria Press program. You don't need them, but they help a lot. And make the kids work independently.

(Although, I thought the Logic DVD's were not worth it - he was boring. Again, we got them the first year in production, so maybe they are better now. Just my 2 cents.)

My son will be finishing up LCI this year and the DVDs are a tremendous help for him (and me:). I have no Latin background, so I had to have them. By the way, he's doing very well with the program.

    Hope this helps.
