Let's talk turkey here for a minute

    I usually buy what ever is on sale at Winco. And last year I bought a foster farm turkey and it was great. I usually use the bags to cook them in since they turn out great. And I make home made stuffing usually a combo of cornbread, french bread, onions, celery, poultry seasoning, ground sage, pepper, salt and to wet it all down with chicken stock.

    I love Wincos. I just wish that we had one here.

    The one closest to me is an hour away. And my dh built all the steel beams in it. But yes, I love winco. I like the bulk section best.

    The turkey won't brown without coating the skin with an oil of some sort. The butter already mentioned works well. My personal preference is olive oil.
