Someone mentioned it in another post...so I, needing a writing program looked it up. I like the way the 7th grade program looked. Who has used this and did it work well. I have learned that I am bad at teaching writing...and ds is pretty uninterested, maybe even hostile to the writing process...so this seemed fairly well laid out. Opinions?? I like the books suggested ok...how necessary is the teachers book? the only one I am questioning is Tom Sawyer, because I think they may have been overexposed to this one already and may loose interest. I don't know.
Thanks for bringing that program back up for me Maybe look at the 8th grade choice instead of 7th if they have done Tom Swayer - I know my son would NOT want to do it again. Funny the only thing ds remembers from that story is that Tom is very manipulative.
ok, now I am hesitating again... I looked at the 8th grade pack...and I don't like it at all, so then I looked at the BF mideval pack...and it is getting kinda pricey...plus "I" have to read all of that. What if I just do 7th grade, and we like it...then I am stuck again for next year? for 8th grade...well his sister did really like To Kill a Mockingbird, and I l ike the Hobbit. (to bad she won't be here to help with the reading.) I like that it goes over the parts of the story...I even think that my 4th grader can use it...(with me doing the reading) Maybe I should wait and find something else for next year and do LL (7th grade) for 8th and 5th. Writing is making me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could go to a convention. sigh.
