I think it was just birds. That one noise is different, but it's still a bird, I think.

I was checking my email this morning and decided to check out the waterhole. When it came up I could hear something walking but couldn't see what it was. In less than a minute the camera person moved a little to the right and here came a long straight line of elephants! I counted 20 of all sizes. The went straight to the water and drank then walked a little ways away for a few minutes till one stray came on over and drank. When it finished they all walked away. It was so cool. Some of the middle sized ones seemed to be talking to each other. Making elephants sounds. I was so excited! That was just a few minutes ago. It is 1:56pm there now. Now there are wildebeest, impala and zebra everywhere. Busy day for the animals. Beth

Oh Beth...that would have been SO cool to see that. I am watching the elephant now, but wish I would have seen that line of them come through!

Leslie, It made me think of something from the Jungle Book where they were marching in line. The babies were so sweet.

That's what I was thinking of...Jungle Book. I didn't know they really did that. I knew they travelled in herds, but not in lines.....so cool!

We weren't up that early. Missed the elephants. But I did try to sign in here around 930 central time because there were impalas, Wildabeast (or whatever they are) and zebras. Couldn't get the site to work though...

artsygirl--They're wildebeests. That's too bad the site didn't work! :( Hopefully it'll work later and you'll be able to see things!

No, I meant I was able to see them, but I tried to post that here on HOmeschoolSpot but couldn't get HOmeschoolSpot to to work. But we did enjoy looking at the Zebras. Now i would just love to see elephants and giraffes.

7:20am AT I've been watching baboons for a long time now! They're running and playing on the ground and in the trees. They're also just sitting. There were 5 zebras for awhile too, 3 big and two small.
