Boy, did I find an incredible place!!! It has all kinds of "living book" lists!!! I've been looking and looking at it for about a half-hour. But since my computer is down, and I'm not suppose to bookmark anything on Carl's :(. So I figured I'd tell y'all about it, and that way I'd be able to find it again later!!!

I've always been afraid someone was going to ask me that!!! It's hard to explain, something you just kinda "know"..... It's a phrase for books that are good books, that you can read while studying a certain subject that brings that subject "to life", especially when it comes to history or science. You know how some biographies or historical fictions are just EXCELLENT and puts you right there in the middle of things...those are living books. NOT the boring ones that read like text books and put you to sleep. Does that help?

Ummmm...no:( Well, kind of. A book that gives the subject the extra "umf"?

Yeh, that's it sort of! Sorry I can't be more specific! Just take my word for it that if someone somewhere says it's a "living book", it's probably worth reading. There ARE exceptions, like the one about Julius Caesar that I quit reading half-way through because it was SO boring!!!
