    Hello Ladies:

I was looking for a good sugar cookie recipe to make cut out with my girls and one that don't have to put in the ice box for a few hours. Also one that taste really good.

I hope I am not asking for too much!

    Thanks again

    Kris TX

    1 cup butter
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 large egg
    1 tablespoon vanilla
    3 cups flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Cream butter and sugar until light; beat in egg and vanilla. Sift flour and baking powder together; stir into creamed mixture. Refrigerate for about 1 hour, or until dough is firm enough to roll. On floured surface roll 1/8-inch thick and cut with cookie cutters.
    Bake 400 8min

(Just wondering if you were still looking for one, LOL;)

Land O Lakes has some on their website...I've done the gluten free ones (since I can't have wheat). They were AWESOME...I bet the ones with wheat are even better.

We only had to fridge for like a half hour, I think.

    :)

Kris, try putting sugar cookies in the search box as I know this is something I had asked in the past. I know I used one of the recipe but it was a drop cookie but they were delicious.

I really don't do roll out cookies, sorry Kris. I use pillsbury from the store if I do, but I used that simple 3 ingredient one the other day it was good!!

I am baking the last batch of Heath chocolate chunk cookies.

    Here's what I did today:

    Go to HEB.
    Find the refrigerated section.
Scan the wracks of biscuits until you find the only sugar cookie available, the HEB brand is fine.
    Come home, open package.
Break apart squares and place on cookie sheet.
Oh, don't forget to turn on the oven.
    Bake per package directions.

Sorry, I'm no help at all! DH the baker will be up in an hour though, and I'm positive he has about 4 recipes in the top of his head he can pull out faster than I can type. I'll post again later....
