I've been using my crockpot to cook dinner for the last couple of days (which have been the first few days of school). Boy it's been a lifesaver. I only have a few good recipes and I could use some more if anyone would like to share?
I love my crock pot! One of my favs is http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/slow-cooker-sweet-sour-chicken-60835.aspx The most common things I cook in mine are Soups (veggie, chick noodle, beef stew, etc) Spaghetti Sauce Roast, potatoes & carrots (just add onion soup mix) BBQ Chili Beans BBQ pork chops and yogurt
A fairly recent addition to my list that we love is http://allrecipes.com/recipe/slow-c...tatoes&e8=Quick Search&event10=1&e7=Home Page, it is scalloped potatoes with ham.
There was also a great thread before you joined with MANY great suggestions: http://www.homeschoolspot.com/showthread.php?t=29839&highlight=crock
shelby, I do like the crockingirls! If you want to spend money, Fix It and Forget It! is a good one. I asked for it and didn't get it for my birthday, so every time I saw it in the store, I pointed it out to Rachael. "That's what I want Daddy to get me for Christmas!" And my girl came through for me, lol! Also, if you have an e-reader, I just found one you can download on it for free.
