Anyone know how to do this? I am enjoy writing about subjects I love, but I am not sure how to make money doing it...I know people do, and I'm not looking to become rich, but right now, anything would help Thanks!
It's not exactly what you're asking about, but Associated Content pays based on hits to your articles. I signed up for it years ago but never got around to writing anything (Who me? Not follow through with something?! Never! Ha.). I don't remember the details but it seemed pretty straight forward.
Aball, I've never had good luck with those. I always get the ones who promise to pay, then you have to open a credit card account or something like that Amie, That's a cool site
yea Amy done that it takes for ever and alot of time to get alittle of nothing. 50 cent sometimes if you are lucky you might get a 5.00 dollar one. But, that is my opinion and mine only. I just think it's alot of work for nothing. but if you have time its ok.

From doing surveys I have gotten reward dollars from borders, have gotten a few checks too. I don't do hardly as many surveys as I used to but I am on quite a few "panels" for different companies and get free stuff. The best one I"m in is through LETS DISH, you have to be invited ---- through a survey, but I am in a group for the Heinz company and I do surveys (quick ones) I submit recipes (top 5 get amazon gift cards) and do product tests, and besides gettting the $10 in amazon just for participating every month and the 3 recipe contests I've been top 5, I also get the gift cards for testing a product---- the give the gift card PLUS the products to try free. I have been doing swag bucks and thats prettyy quick (plese let me know if you are interested, I get points when someone uses my link)......... I've gotten about $20 in the past 2 months for that--- and it would have been more if I twittered or had face book and didn't do the contest, so these gift cards add up for me and I've gotten ALL of my kids birthday gifts FREE-- I wait until I have enough for free shipping on Amazon. So its not a fortune but it helps. For the girl's birthday I got 3-4 things for free and for the boys I got 4-5 free all on Amazon, plus I got the girls American girl doll cookbooks at borders and some kind of book for malcom free at borders plus I still have a gift card to use at bath and body works to get those small bath gels or hand sanatizers to add to the bath gift baskets I"m making them I also do MY POINTS--- which I've gotten some gift cards from too for birthday gifts. I get more by doing their surveys and they are connected to Buzz agent which I just got accepted for the Zertec children's alergy medicine to try for free (sammie has bad alergies) and I'm using the new Aveeno shampoo and conditioner they sent and I love it. when I write about that I get "my points". Wow Amy...you really found something good! I tried surveys but I must have tried with the wrong people. I write reviews for Thomas Nelson Publishing. I get a free book...write my review on my blog and get another free book. I was directed to try Bzz Agents. It's a product tester site. I have not looked into much yet though. As far as making money blogging....maybe I am wrong but it isn't as easy as 123. I have a blog and I make nothing! LOL. However, my blog is fairly new. You can make money from adsense on your blog or from becomming an amazon associate and posting a widget on your blog. I have both...both are new so no money has been made. I don't expect alot either unless my blog gets a million hits. lol. Having a blog also allows you to easily apply for writing jobs. That maybe where you can make money or at least get the word out. I write for Moms of Faith, Examiner (like Scottie), Granola Devotions and Internet Cafe. The last two I am only a contributing writer. I have also written for a few other sites. None were paid! LOL. The examiner does pay but it depends on your hits and I just started and i am slow to get out articles since I have other things I write for also. However, all of this gets experience and your name out there. If you have enough followers on your blog or hits you can sell ad space on your blog. I have a space for it on mine..and a free link exchange but it's new...like not even a month old. So, as things grow I am hoping to build it up more. Things in the blog world take time from what I am gathering. I could be wrong. You can try Craigslist or...geesh..there is a sight for bloggers where you blog on someone else's site and make money. Do a search for blog jobs and then research what you come up with. If you find anything please share it and I will do the same for you as I am in the process of moving in the same direction.
blogging is great but you need to be found by search engines like google and yahoo so that people come to your site. Unfortunately for this to happen, the longevity of your site it key so if you need money now...it may not be the best idea. But I am always hopeful. People make GREAT money with a little studying by using Google Adsense on their blogs. Basically once your blog is up (and you can really write about anything), you sign up for Google Adsense (it's free) and you place ads on your blog. If and when people come to your site and they see an ad they like, they click on it and you get PAID! Just like that! The best thing is Google has perfected their system so that ads that show up on your site are relevant to what your blog is about. Ever gone onto maybe the Michael craft store website and you look around at the ads on the site? They all relate to CRAFTS! Google does this for you automatically. I know this post is getting long but check up on it more. Youtube has GREAT videos on Adsense. I have studied a bit but thats as far as I've gotten. Good Luck!
