Have any of you heard about the "Marriage Mayday" in Washington DC in October? DH is thinking taking off two personal days, and us all going. I guess they're also planning on having simultaneous ones at some of the state capitals. (He also says that if they have one in Columbus we'll go to that one, and not to DC!) Anyway, I know some of you aren't too far from Washington, and was wondering if anyone else was planning on going.
No, I haven't heard of it. What is it exactly? Is it a series of rallies in support of traditional marriage? I'm thinking that's what it must be, especially with all the different states having the elections regarding constitutional amendments. Missouri, I'm proud to say, had the first such vote in August and upheld traditional marriage as between a man and a woman by a very wide margain.
I'm not sure I can explain it. Here's some web sites: http://www.maydayformarriage.com/ http://www.bpnews.net/bpnews.asp?ID=19065 (Sorry! I guess this should have been put on "Christian Issues", rather than "Off Topic"!)
