We have used Saxon Math this last year. She did K in a few months and now she is racing through the first grade stuff and it is to easy for her! Any recommendations on a good math program that is going to challenge her a bit more?

Horizons is DEFINITELY more challenging than Saxon K math. My dd is doing stuff in K that my others did in Saxon 2.

We went from Saxon to Singapore because my son found Saxon too slow and, thus, too boring. Singapore is designed as a math for advanced students---- must be true because he's testing a grade level ahead in Teaching Textbooks from the grade he should be going into next.

I was kind-of thinking Horizons. It seemed more challenging then Saxon.

I agree with those who said Horizon! Totally good, it is advanced at least half a grade level if that helps.

If you're really looking for a challenge, use Horizons for your core and https://smartmall.net-smart.net/challengemath/products.cfm?ID=4&cat=8 for a supplement. It's a book you can revisit each year, because while the concepts stay the same, the problems come in varying levels of challenges. You can go through all the easy ones at first and go back to the harder ones the next couple of years. We'll incorporate it at some point as well. I just haven't bought it yet. (I blindly jumped into homeschooling... great job on everything but math, so we're back-tracking a bit.)

2littleboys- That book looks great! Thanks for the tip!

My goal today- to research all of these choices! We have a homeschool convention coming up and I would like to have it narrowed down to just a few choices and then (hopefully) I can get my hands on these books and really look into them!

I also agree with Horizons. Now it was too much for my ds. We made it to like lesson 100 in K and it was just too much too fast. It sounds like your daughter might like Horizons. It is really a great program. Now a note to that, sometimes Horizons has too much review on a few things and they become bored with that. Like ds got really tired of doing before, after, and inbetween numbers, so I would x out a few problems on the sheets.

I love Math-u-see for any of my dc. I like that I can move at their pace and if they master quick we move to the next lesson. Great program and I have sadly tried more than I care to list LOL. ;)
