So we're using MUS and he's currently doing beta. He will be finished with it by the end of February. I had planned to move straight on to gamma but we don't own that yet. The friend I bought beta from won't be done with her gamma until May. Should I find other math activities for him to do in the interim or suck it up and buy new? I looked at ebay and the homeschool classifieds sites I know about and the dvd and teachers manuals could be found but not the student workbook. Thoughts?
Personally, I'd do living math activities and a math journal while I waited for my friend to be done with hers.
I LOVE pinterest. I found a ton of free math journal prompts and then I came across this post from one of my favorite bloggers: living math ideas It's a free printable with over 40 living math ideas. LOVE it.
Some other living math ideas... my kids LOVE the Stuart J Murphy MathStart books, there are all kinds of math readers out there.. the Sir Cumference books are fun. Books like Family Math are really great for ideas of games and such.
