I plan on using Math U See for our Algebra course. I currently need another 1/2 credit in Math and, honestly, J could use a little more practice on some pre-Algebra skills before we begin. Plus I'm thinking a little easing into using the Math U See technique would be a good idea before we begin learning brand new Math concepts.

    So my question:

If I were to pick up a used teacher manual in Pre-Algebra and/or even Zeta and Epsilon, I thought I pull some of the concepts we need specific help on and then use the worksheet generator on the MUS website for some practice.

Would this work? Or do I *really* need the student books? I have time to scour around for a decent used price and, actually, have already found an Epsilon teacher pack for $17.

I guess I could just pull materials off of Kahn Academy or IXL, but I would like to begin using the MUS concepts and manipulative correctly before we hit Algebra with them.

If it is a review to strengthen skills already learned I think that would be fine. If you could find the DVD with the teacher manual that would be very helpful. Most people I see selling them used sell them together.

keep in mind that MUS has heavy review of skills built in to each lesson. I can look in our Algebra book, but I'm pretty sure the Algebra book reviews pre-algebra concepts.

ahhh... Thanks, Brooke. I have heard that, but had momentarily forgot... Wish I would've thought of this at the convention, I would've looked a little more closely at the front of the book, myself!

    and thanks, Crystal!
