I just saw at Walmart last night a new First Steps carpenter shop. It has all the child tools AND it has precut wood pieces that go together to make things. It was very very cool. I would have gotten it for my boys at that age.
Yes, and if he likes wood working there are build a house etc things... if he wants electronics go to Radio shack and get hima build yoru own radio or something, so many things to do!
They have a new Black and Decker play tool bench set out now. It looks really neat. Perfect for a 3 year old.
He sounds like such a bright kid, I hope she'll take your suggestions and nurture his ability. We're getting ds (4) a marble run for christmas, you put them together however you want but they don't require tools, so it may be a downside for him. Marbles would probably be too small for him still anyways. The tool sets sound like great ideas, especially since they work!
Thanks everyone! You all have such great ideas. I told her about the Home Depot tools and she said she is definately going to get him some for Christmas. I'll get him a small erector set to get him going with it. She said he wouldn't play with his legos but if Erector sets have little screwdrivers I bet he'd play with that! P.s. The move is going pretty well but I still don't have internet, can only borrow my mom's computer next door every now and then...
Syele, tell your neighbor to test the tools she buys for christmas first, some of them are loud and anoying, I can't tell you how many times I have taken away play tools for that reason.
