A family member just got his military papers and he is leaving for Iraq on September 11 - of all days. He and his wife have three small children with the youngest just born a month ago. He is scheduled to be gone for a year and a half. He has been unactive for over three years and works as a carpenter. Please pray for this family.
Crystal, I'll pray for them! Our small group has recently begun prayer more fervently for the military men.....which might soon include one of my brothers. He is a school psychologist and in the middle of getting his doctorate in administration. He has recently felt the calling to serve, possibly in the Marines, and go through officer training. Big switch, huh?! But the Lord has surely prepared him for His work. I hope more people begin prayer for our military in general. There was a big surge after 9/11 but recently we have gotten lazy about it. Good topic to bring up.
