Can anyone suggest a movie about France or that was set in France? It can be documentary or not. I'm thinking about something in the time of the Revolution or Louis XIV or XVI.

A Tale of Two Cities or Les Miserables?

Thanks. both are good suggestions. I just can't get either of them instantly on Netflix.

The Count of Monte Cristo? The 2002 version is a bit more family-friendly than the book, and just as epic. And I must second Les Miserables, if you can get it.

I loved the Liam Neeson Les Miserables. But I didn't think it gave all that much info about France. Did it even cover the battle in the street? I can't remember. I'm looking for something that might involve kings or musketeers or men in iron masks, but I can't find any on Netflix instant. But if you all keep suggesting titles, I'll do the checking on Netflix. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

The Scarlet Pimpernel!!! LOVE IT!!! With Anthony Andrews and Jane Seymour!!!

There's a Leo DeCaprio (or whatever his name is!) version of the Man in the Iron Mask. You could always do the "new" Three Musketeers that came out, but only if you compare it to a more orthodox version. I mean, flying machines? GET REAL!!! My favorite is the Three Musketeers and the Four Mlusketeers, with Raquel Welch and Peter York.
