I am so proud of Mackenzie for doing this. I know she was scared, but she got up in that chair like it was nothing and let that lady chop off her hair. Here's a before picture: Here's an after picture: She donated 11 1/2 inches!
Way to go MacKenzie! I love the color of her hair too! I did Locks of Love about 3 months ago and both my dd's have done it twice.
Thats fantastic!!!! I have always wanted to donate my hair. I vowed I was going to do it this time! I hate having short hair, but mine's so thick and curly it really gets on my nerves, and I get headaches. WAY TO GO for MacKenzie!!!!! WOOOHOOOOO!
Dd just had hers cut a few weeks ago too. She is planning on growing it out and doing it again too. I think it is great that kids are really getting into doing this. It is a simple thing yet makes a huge impact on someones life. Way to go Mackenzie!
Marica, what a very sweet daughter you have to do that. Be proud both of you. Oh has pretty hair love it short...
Way to go, Mackenzie!!! And what pretty hair, too! My dd and her dh also did this a few years ago, but they're older now and there's some grey creeping in... not sure LoL wants grey-haired children!
Awww!!! My oldest just donated her hair a month ago! We donated to Children with Hairloss. She got 15 1/2 inches cut - about 12 1/2 was donate-able!
Both of my younger girls have done that too. I was very proud of them. Your daughter's hair is so cute short and she has a beautiful hair color. I am proud of her.
She has the most beautiful hair, long and short. May God bless herfor what she did and for beign so selfless!
My daughter is thinking of growing hers for locks for love... Something neat that boys can do..... Three of my sons participated in St. Baldrick's Day! (I was so proud as this was all their idea, I had never even heard of it before.) It is a fundraising for childhood cancer research where their idea is.... “How much would you donate for childhood cancer research to see me shave my head in solidarity with kids fighting cancer?” It's an amazing event to see! www.stbaldricks.org
I am so jealous! My daughter's hair grows so slow. For the first three years, people kept calling her a boy. -_- She's never had a haircut, just trims, and it's barely past her shoulders, and so thin! Posting St. Baldricks on my FB page!
