All three of my kiddos surrendered to ministry this week at camp.. Cailey, my 12 year old, said it was the neatest thing.. They had a calling at the end of service one night for anyone who felt they were called into ministry.. She said that all the youth from our church( 9 in all) stood up.. It wasn't like one stood, and the rest saw and followed.. They all got up at the same time.. None of them had discussed it with each other.. Totally on their own. I'm SO excited for what God is doing in their lives!! Please keep them in your prayers.. It seems that Satan puts up a HUGE fight every year after camp.. he tries to put out the fire that they have..

We always see the kids come home from camp on fire for God and then as the world steps back in, they cool off. I don't mean this against the kids in any way. I think being in camp with so much going on to keep them focused on God and worship their eyes get opened and they see how good it can be. Then they come home and gradually drift back into life before camp. I have always wished I could keep the fire burning! I just don't know how. I know you are so proud of your group of kids. What camp did they attend?

I know, that always happens.. Mine have never come back this on fire before..I sure hope they keep some of it.. My 15 year old goes through sputs.. He has his bible completely filled with sticky notes marking things he read.. He reads and studies and I never know until I happen to see his bible out on his bed.. Love that he is so hungry for the word. He's the one I see going on into ministry.. He's had a hunger and I see him growing so much.. They went to Camp Riverbend in Brownfield.. Left Tuesday, came back on Saturday. It was a VERY long week though.. Cailey came home with the makings of bronchitis so we are making a doctors appointment in the morning to get her checked out.. They ALMOST sent her home.. So glad they didn't....

My daughter has camp next month but this year instead of going off like they usually do, they are doing camp here in our town. They will have meals at the church and do onsite mission projects for people here in town. Bible study and small group devos will take place as well as a worship service each night that is going to be open to anyone who wants to come. I am in charge of the food so it will be a busy week for all of us. I am excited about it and want Emily to enjoy her week. I think the physical work is going to be good for all of our youth group. I know they are painting one lady's home. That should be interesting!

Our church's youth just got back last night. Our pastor has taken them to Pensacola a couple of times, this time they went to Georgia. Haven't gotten to talk to any of them yet today, but from what was posted on Facebook, it was truly a "mountaintop" experience. I hope it goes with them as some few go off to college in the fall!
