My ds is in kindergarten this year, but he's been acting more like a preschooler. You may remember that he wasn't too interested in doing his work lately. Well, today, out of the blue, he speeds through his work and acts like he enjoys it. When we do phonics he usually hates it. Today I gave him the directions and he was like "oh that is so easy and I can do that in 2 minutes". So, he sat down and actually did it in 2 minutes! Shocked! I freaked! He went on to do 3 more pages and did great. OMG! I couldn't believe it. He usually has to sit right by me and acts like he can't write a letter without me helping or watching. It's like a magic wand was waved and he turned into a different child, lol. Hope this continues tomorrow!!!
"who are you and what did you do with my child???" LOL Hope he stays ewilling and eager for you for a long time to come!
Missy, I was informed today by someone at church that my precious little man has lost is "little boy" look, and is now looking like a school-age kid. Sigh......
Jackie, that happens in first and second grade doesn't it. I know my 2nd grade picture is the one where I've lost that baby look myself! So sad!
Yes, and there's also a stage where they suddenly lose thier "toddler" look, and become a "preschooler". Of course, my oldest, at twelve, is changing again from girl to young lady..... I DON'T LIKE THIS!!!!!
My youngest is 9 already and getting taller. I am tall (5'9") and she wants to be as tall or taller than me! She was like I was as a baby---big cheeks that people can hardly resist pinching! Now those aren't as chubby, she's got long legs and she's in 5th grade---I don't like this either!!!
He did well today, but the attitude was not as good. Oh well, atleast he did the work and did a good job!
