Is what came out of my child's mouth yesterday! No, it's not me she is talking about. We are using the Apologia series for Science this year. Yesterday I was quizzing her on a study guide to see how much she has retained and I even asked her if she knew the material beforehand because I was impressed with what she had retained. She said no, that it is just easy to remember. We were joking around about the fact that the narrator actually sounds like he is talking to the reader and that was when she popped out with "my teacher yells at me" comment. She had me laughing so hard! I told her it is neat that it is written in a way that she picks up on the emphasis of his speaking just from his words! To those of you who haven't read it, he doesn't "yell" in a bad way it's just that it's like you have a teacher who loves the subject and isn't afraid to let it show in their voice.

This is funny. I think it is great that she can retain the information.

    Thanks for the laugh!
We are using Apologia too and my daughter loves the way it is written. She said it is almost like someone is having a conversation with her.
