I have heard a lot about lapbooking, but never got around to trying it with my children. I think they would enjoy it, but the sites I find on my own are just pictures of other's lapbooks. How do you make the actual folders? thanks, Batrice
I'm, pretty sure the folders are just manilla file folders that are folded into thirds. But I could be wrong, I never got into lapbooking.
Hmmmm... I like www.homeschoolshare.com - it has a lot of ideas and lists of books and the resources to go with them. Great stuff. I do agree, when just getting started it's easier to have all the pieces and kinda be told what to do...But once you do a few, you start to picture what you want to put places. Homeschoolshare has a lot of stuff. OH...also check out Jennifer Erix's bookmark page, she has lots of links to stuff. www.jennifererix.com Sometimes if you look carefully at the blogs and stuff where folks are posting their pix of the lapbooks, they have links to where they got the stuff - you might have to look a little bit. OH...also, sign up for www.currclick.com 's newsletter. Each week they send you a link for a freebie download. Lots of times they are lapbooks. I'm sure others will offer lots of help here!
Here are some helpful videos...go through her others as well and she gives SUPER EASY examples of minibooks. Simple lapbook Double lapbook Pocket lapbook This one is for a princess letter type lapbook BUT you can use this fold for any type of lapbook with a pocket. Best of luck! ps...here is her main page so you can find the minibooks: http://www.youtube.com/user/mcclintick02
Here's my favorite lapbooking info site, of course I have only done one so I am very much a beginer, LOL. http://www.squidoo.com/lapbooking
