I need lunch ideas! My dd12 doesn't like PB&J. We have given up lunchmeats, so although she would love that, I don't buy it. So, what do people eat for lunches? We don't have many leftovers so that's not an option.
My kids like stuff in a wrap. When you make chicken, make a bit extra. Chop it up with veggies, add some Ranch dressing, and roll it in a wrap. (But don't you DARE call it "chicken salad" in my house...my kids won't TOUCH "chicken salad"!) They also like cheese on a tortilla (quesadillas...?), with or without leftover taco meat.
I make a lot of things from Weelicious. Most of them are big hits. Our favorites (and by "our," I mean the boys) Cheesey Turkey Meatloaf Bites (by far the most requested food I make; made with any ground meat, not just turkey) Whole Wheat Dutch Baby (I usually top it with syrup or honey) Egg Pest Melt (I cheat and buy jarred pesto so I always have it on hand)
AMIE!!! Did you see where that site you mentioned is giving away a free KichenAid for Mother's Day?!?!
My kids haven't been to a school yet, so I've not had the experience of making packed lunches every day. When we go out somewhere, we'll often bring a lot of fruit (bananas, apples, lychees, etc.) and a bread roll with lettuce and mayo, or if it's to somewhere that we know has boiling water available, then it's instant noodles and dried krill. When they are at school, I'd love to do something like this woman, who seems to have an unreasonable amount of free time.
