    Nevermind... ignore the questions below... dh has decided he doesn't want the kids doing CC.

    =============

    Can you tell me exactly what happens during essentials? I know it's 45 minutes of math games, 45 of writing, and 45 of grammar, but what exactly are they doing? How much in-class writing is involved? Is it a competitive environment? I was told that first years aren't supposed to know anything coming in, second years have a clue because they remember from last year, and third years know so much that they can teach the first years. True? But are third years paired with first years for games (making it impossible for a first year to win anything)?

    We visited a CC campus today. My kids enjoyed foundations, but we didn't stick around for essentials because yesterday was such a rough day that we were all tired and wanted to go home. I don't know if foundations is really worth all that money (I wasn't at all impressed), but the kids really liked it (which I didn't expect).

    So torn........
