    Helllo all!

Yesterday (friday) at 4pm we got a phone call if we have a place in our home for a 5 year old girl...Monday we have to decide (normally we have to decide on the same day already)...

Fosterchildren that come to us come straight from their homes and are in a crisis-situation. This girl lives with her granny and is surrounded (in the house) by ppl who use drugs and are known for sexual crimes. Police knows for sure this girl is abused as well (sexually). Pffff

And since august our homeschooling got into a new phase as ALL 4 year olds go to school (most start at age 2 in pre-K but at 4 EVERYONE goes tp ps) and our oldest daughter is 4 now. So having a 4 year old hs-girl and a 5 year old ps-girl in the house will be kind of strange...

But we will open our doors for this girl and I just wanted to share that. no one knows for how liong she will stay. Officially kids stay for 3 months in our house, but that can be 2 weeks or 1 year as well. When it's clear she should stay 'forever' in a family they will look for a family where she can stay 'forever', cause right now in our lives we 'only' do crisis-fostercare.

could you please pray for this girl? And for our own family? opening doors for a girl that young and that abused isn't easy ;-(
Please pray for her....we don't know her name yet....

thank you! Will let you know more soon!
And oh yeah, we can not homeschool the girl, that is just impossible in the Netherlands.....

    Love and prayers, Patricia

Wow, Patricia! God bless you! I don't have much to say except that I admire you and am drawn to that type of thing, myself--but we don't have three younger children! I pray that you will have a great support group around you--people who know how to encourage both you and the little girl, who will need so much care!

Thank God your family is around to take in these needy children. I hope she can take some good away from your house and know that not EVERYONE is like her old situation.

    God bless and good luck!

    a little update

yesterday we phoned to fostercare - as they asked us to do - but the worker we needed to speak with doesn't work on monday. grrrr it's always like that. so we have to phone back today. knowing there is this little girl out there, in difficult situations....and she needs to wait because first 'in 1 hour the weekend starts' and than 'cause the worker doesn't work on monday' makes me sad.
we hope hope hope to get that girl out of her situation today. May be in time she can go back home, if everything is open and known and better...that would may be better for her, but right now.....please get her out of that situation!!

Well, may the situation got worse this weekend and she is already out and placed in another fosterfamily, might be possible as well *smile*. I will let you know!
I love her already, strange feeling. I wished I knew her name already.... And well, she will only stay here for a couple of weeks or months, but we will poor Gods love and oiur love in this girl so she will never forget that God knows her, loves her, heals her, restores her, cuddles her, wipes away her tears, wants to know it when she is happy or sad.......

    will let you know more

    *update*

well an update here....the girl will come to us.....but we need to be under the umbrella of another fostercare organization and they need to first fix that before the girl can come. They need to do it VERY quick cause the girl is in danger they told us. but they do not have another family she can go to. There are not enough foster homes....
So imagine this 5 year old...in a few days she will be taken out of her grandma's home by police force. Not expected. cause they are not preparing the child or grandma because they expect them to flee than. heartbreaking.
She will come to us and we live in a total different part of the country (well, the netherlands are small, but normally fosterkids are placed in the same area, but for this child that would not be possible so family is not allowed to know where the child will be). Pfffff

youthcare told us already that this won't be fostercare for a few weeks. They know for certain this girl can never live at home anymore so they will search for a permanent fosterfamily. But there hardly any families....so it will take months, may be longer!!
heartbreaking. And yes, of course, when we see that this girl is at the right place in our home, she will be welcomed to stay, but it's not that easy. we are talking about a 5 year old that has seen toooo much in life already, will be traumatised....and is only 1 year older than our oldest....so taking her in forever depends on lots of things, first of all the well-being of our own kids.

And she will need to go to ps....while especially kids like her should be in our homeschool 'school'!!! Now we will have to bring her to school at 8.15 am and pick her up at 3.15 pm. Some days she will be at home between 12 and 1.15 for lunch. So all the care, all the love, all the healing, all the everything.....we can only give her after school. Heartbreaking!!

    Thank you for praying!!!
And I still don't know the name of this wonderful treasure.....But Gods knows!

I know it will take a while for her to get used to you , but she will be glad to be around other kids I think.

PS: my DD's name is Eva too.

We are praying for the little girl! That she will be safe until they can get her, and that she will be able to adjust well, and see that you love her and will not hurt her!

We are also praying for you and your family, that everyone adjusts well, and that you are all able to do what's needed for this precious one!

praying extra hard here! Situations like it sounds like she is in are difficult, but God can erase her memories of that trama and she can go on to live a wonderful life! I will be praying for her to have a happy life outside that place of existance ( wont call it ahome) I will pray that she has no damage physically and that God will craddle her in his arm and keep her safe. That He will send mighty angels to defend her cause! I have heard stories of how people have not been able to hurt someone because of what they percieved as nothing , but an invisible something, stopping them. I believe in Angels! So thats why I pray for thier protection via God's hand!
really big HUG to the little girl!
