Hi everyone, I'm just joining in here, and thought I'd introduce myself. I've been homeschooling for 5 years and have a 12 yo dd, 10 yo ds, and 5 yo dd. We live in beautiful Minnesota and enjoy camping, hiking, boating, ice skating, reading... I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you~
Hi and welcome! You're a pro at this since you have 5 yrs. under your belt. We just finished our 3rd-3 dd's 12,11 and almost 10. Jump in--this is friendly bunch!
Welcome, I am sure glad you found us. My name is Kris I live in Rv and travel with my dh for his jobs. We have been in MN and hoping to make it our home soon. We now in Wisconisn. I have been hs my dd's for 6 years they are 12 and 14. Jump right in I bet you have alot of neat ideas to share with us.
Welcome from Jackie, in Central Ohio! My girls are 13 and 11, and my son is 7. They just left this morning for one blessed week of camp!!! All THREE of them for the first time!!! (Can you tell I'm as excited about them going as they are to go, lol? Of course, by the end of the week, I'll be glad to have my babies back!)
Welcome This place is great! After 5 years I'm sure you are full of wisdom! We are just beginning our 2nd year with our 3rd grader, and will be beginning preschool with our 2 1/2 year old and our 1 1/2 year old in August. This is a great place to share your experience (we are all always searching for great ideas!) and to ask for advice.. this place is the best I've found so far!
Yay, another Minnesotan! Some one else who knows what MN winters are like. Where's your general location? I was a life-long Ranger until this year when hubby's job moved us down near the Twin Cities. Just finished our first "year" - didn't start until spring break. Welcome
Hello! I am Patty and homeschool my daughter Emma. I am glad you joined us! Hope to see you around. This place is addicting!  There are so many kind people here. This site beats all! Patty
We live in the northwest suburbs, Maple Grove. We've been here for 5 years, before that we lived around Lake Minnetonka area. How did your first year go?
hmmm....I don't know that I am full of wisdom! I can't believe it has been 5 years already! I'll be starting to teach 7th grade next year and so I'll be needing all the wisdom I can get from those gals here who have older girls. I'm a little scared as to what is in store for me... What a nice group of women here! I'm glad I stumbled on this place! Looking forward to participating~
Hello and welcome. I have been hsing since the last half of K. We too are starting 7th grade in the fall and I too will be needing some wisdom. I love this place, everyone is as nice as can be. Join in anytime.
One of the main reasons we pulled dd is due to change in attitude (not for the better). She was also sick every morning at the thought of going to school. That has really improved! I found out that she had so many holes (from being so stressed and living in the nurse's office), that I spent most of the spring just filling those in. Now she's just decompressing and doesn't want to do anything even slightly academically related. Hopefully by late July, we'll be ready to jump back in. Till then she's busy with gymnastics and family events. Leaves next week for her first overnight camp. Very exciting for her (mom's terrified :? ) We live between Lindstrom and Taylors Falls. Love the small town living with the close proximity to the Cities!
