My name is Wendy and I am working with a student of mine that I had in a small private school. I am a certified teacher, and am continuing the work with him that we were doing in the classroom. He is very interested in finding pen pals and other kids his age (12, almost 13) to work on projects with over the internet. If any of you have suggestions of how to make this happen, I would appreciate it greatly. Wendy... Many homeschooling sights have a forum for penpals. I know about.com has one of these in their homeschooling forums section. Check them out. BTW, welcome to the Homeschool Spot!
Welcome! Sounds like you are settling right in to home education! My kids haven't gotten in on any of the pen pal things yet, but I'm sure you will find a ton of info here.
