Good morning all! I am so excited to have the opportunity to homeschool my children. My name is Jen and I am a preschool teacher. I have been married for nearly 9 years. My DH and I have a 7 year old son, Noah (going into 3rd grade) and a two year old daughter, Cameron. Our son is thriving in a traditional "in the box" private school but I feel that he will do WAY more than that at home. In December, we decided to let him finish this school year and then bring him home. I have fallen in love with the Core Knowledge Series so I'm hoping to use that a lot. I also plan to continue with Saxon Math because it seems to work and it's what he is accustomed to. I have the luxury of not only working just a few hours a day but having my mom keep my children while I do. This is a huge team effort and I am so excited about it. Well, I'm not from NC, but I'd love to welcome you here anyway! This is a great place! Watch out though, it can become addicting. I'm needing to start a Homeschool Spotaholics class soon, I think! This is our 9th year of homeschooling. I have 3 children whom I adore: dd10, ds14 and ds15.
