I would like to hear reviews.
Apparently from what DH read, the critic gave it low reviews.

Jenlynn, I haven't seen the movie yet but there are several who have. Go back and look under Other Conversations and you should find the thread. I hadn't really planned on seeing it until I read what others were saying about it. Hope you can find it. Beth

The critic most likely gave it low reviews because it was a clean family movie that contained no sex, drugs or alcohol and wasn't infested with cursing and violence. Now a days people want all this in order for it to be exciting but this the world we live in.

Okay, it does have humorous violence, if there is such thing.

I am not even sure if I would call it that??? But I know what you mean. It is certainly not violence in the way we think of violence. :)

It was very comical, no blood. What I thought was great is the way the Roman and the cowboy became friends and worked together in the end for the better of something other then themselves.
I found it so refreshing that we could sit as a family and watch something that made us laugh and feel good when we left the building.

Exactly! And learning something about history was just a bonus! (or at least leaving with the desire to learn more about history!)

OH...we were cracking up, too, when the cowboy and the Roman guy were driving the toy Hummer!! That was so funny!

Jenlyn, if you go to the Focus on the Family web site, they do reviews that are pretty good. FoF is found at:

    www.family.org

From there, you click on the Plugged In link! I often will check out what they say before making a final decision about a movie.
