My house errupts into a massive cattle heard drive, every evening, as my wound up kids begin chasing each other. TAG!

And every time we are at the playground, there are more and more creative reasons that so and so is "IT" as they run giggling and screaming with joy over chasing each other.

A random, "You can get me!" is overheard..
    Great fun!

However, in Massechusets TAG is OUT!

ATTLEBORO, Mass. -- Tag, you're out! Officials at an elementary school south of Boston have banned kids from playing tag, touch football and any other unsupervised chase game during recess for fear they'll get hurt and hold the school liable.
Recess is "a time when accidents can happen," said Willett Elementary School Principal Gaylene Heppe, who approved the ban.

I understand how hard it must be for PS officials who live in fear of such litigious parents. And, I think that is so sad because ultimately, the kids loose, right?

    But get this.....
""I think that it's unfortunate that kids' lives are micromanaged and there are social skills they'll never develop on their own," said Debbie Laferriere"

    DID YOU CATCH THAT????!!!!

I just found that article too. Isn't it just absurd? Some schools even have no talking during lunch. A while back some schools banned the game dodge ball. They say it is because it excludes some kids (the ones that get "out" first). Well I played dodge ball and tag and talked my head off during lunch and I think I turned out just fine.

Yet they are sooooo concerned about the social skills of homeschoolers. Absurd!!!

My husband called a little while ago to tell me that this was the topic on a local radio show this morning and how stupid everyone calling in thinks it is. I wonder what will be next and I thank God that whatever it is my kids won't be a part of it.

It is very sad. Kids can't be kids anymore. The clothes they sell for little girls are NOT little girl clothes anymore! They can't talk at lunch, they can't play at recess, there are so many crimes committed it's amazing! et cetera, et cetera, et cetera! What happened to the innocence of childhood?!

Those days are no longer coming when right is wrong and wrong is right; up is down and down is up. They're here.

    Poor kids.
