Hope its okay with everyone but I wanted to post some encouraging thoughts and hopefully some of you will do the same.
After having home schooled my two olders through thier years and sent one out to give him what he needed aside from the learning aspect I have come to a conclusion.
Even though we give each kid the same opportunities to learn we can not climb in thier brains and make them learn. But we did provide it!

Even though we teach our children to study to show themselves approved rightly diviiding the.. truth from the falacies... they wont always believe it. But we can provide it! We can teach it.

Even when we repeat a year of study, or skip a year of study, or change theformat of a lesson or twenty to fit our child's views on how to learn.. they will grow up they will go off to be adults without us and they will have to take what we have taught them and know that it was good.

When you wonder if its all worth it --- it is!
You may think fighting with your 10-13 yr old about getting the work done is unique, but its not. BTDT! One day your adult will come up to you and say "You were my best teacher mom/dad" or "remember when we studied, learnned, watched a video about, etc. And you will feel like it was worth it.,

Or maybe they wont say it to you but to thier friend when they pass on some knowledge that they learned about some fantastic subject you didn't even think they were paying attention to.

Or maybe it will be when they tell thier own children how it was back when they were a kid..

but it will be worth it all!
    Hang in there!

yes, TMom it is all worth it in the end. They grow up so fast and some days you beat your head against the wall and say why am I doing this, then the next day they do something so neat and you say this is why I am doing this.
Hang in there they will be out of the house before you know it and you will wonder where the time went.
I enjoy every minute I have with my wonderful girls and know its going to be really hard on us the day they leave us.

Thank you for the encouraging words. I try daily to do my best for my children, some days it's harder than others but your words put it all in perspective. Thanks!
