How can a 20 year old guy meet a nice girl. Not at church (he's not interested) and not at bars (he's not a drinker). Ideas for my ds?

I like Liz's suggestion of volunteering.

Funny, but church and bars seem at opposite extremes. So what DOES a guy do who is "in the middle"?

There might be a club of something he's interested in. I know Rachael was attending a Scrabble Club (but not to meet guys!), originally for a college paper and because she enjoys playing Scrabble.

Group Lessons for Ballroom dance! Seriously! We had gobs of single girls in each class and the only guys were the rare few who came with their wives.

Online dating sites. Seriously. It's how people meet these days. I know several younger couples that met that way.

That is how I met my husband and my nephew met his wife on one of those sites. I also have a friend who is getting married next year that met her fiance on a dating site.

What about meetup? I've met a numer of friends through those. You have to be interested in something and then you get together with others who have a shared interest. There are some dating ones, but I think it's better you just meet people with a shared interest and then see if there's any relationship.

Online. My husband and I met online in 1999, got married 4 months later, and have been married for almost 13 years and have 8 kids. I testify that it works! :)

Does he have friends he considers to be good people who know good people? Perhaps they can introduce him to somebody.

Finally a story like us...we get funny looks when we say we knew each other three months before marrying (two months to get engaged, one month to plan the wedding!)

We've been married 8 years and have two kids...working on more.

I will say that's met a lot of duds before I met a stud. :)

Mainly he needs to look, dress, groom, act and be the type of partner that his dream woman would want to date, then he needs to be out in public networking with other people. He might not meet this woman directly, but rather might be introduced by another person.

This woman will not come looking for him at his apartment nor at his mother's house.
