Or you could be like me who doesn't celebrate any holidays. :D I am a Christian that doesn't celebrate Christmas but I would never be offended if someone said Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, or any other holiday greeting. I simply say thank you and go on about my life. There is no reason to be rude. If the situation is such, I may tell them I don't celebrate Christmas and explain why (since the usually ask) but I would never be mean about it. That is not a Christian attitude.

I say "Happy Holidays" to everyone.

To me it isn't just about Christmas, Kwanzaa and/or Hanukkah, but also for Ramadan, Bohdi day ( which I do know about and practiced, today instead of intense meditation on that day I do kind acts toward strangers), Boxing Day, New Years and Yule/Winter Solstice ( which I celebrate as well, with a great feast and bonfire !!).
I WANT to include everyone in my greetings and by saying Happy Holidays, I do that.

I can see why stores have policies againist saying Merry Christmas to everyone. In this day and age people are selfish and are sue happy. Its easier to say Happy Holidays and cover everyone instead of shelling out money for a lawyer in case someone decides to sue!

If you are offended by people saying Happy Holiday's to you then say Merry Christmas back, that will show them that you like that greeting instead and then they will know next time.

I just say what bops in my head at the time. I am not upset when someone says Happy Holiday or Just Merry Christmas. To me it's no big deal. There are so many holidays together I have just always heard Happy Holidays because most the time, people wouldn't see you again if they see you at Thanksgiving or Christmas. KWIM so they figure if they say Happy Holiday they will get it them all in at once. ..

That's exactly why I usually say "Happy Holidays", to cover all the bases and include everyone! Now I feel like maybe I'll make someone mad for saying Happy Holidays to them! Oh well, I know that I'm saying it in a friendly and kind way, with well wishes!
