We have started with doing Spanish on Rosetta stone today! We are both doing it, with a separate profile for each, so we take turns. The historical science biography of Marie Curie we got from the library means he will be learning about that too. And soon the Singapore Math books will be here. Yesterday we looked up what the original Rosetta Stone was (he asked) and the other day we spent about an hour looking at movies about the desert and its wildlife (www.desertusa.com). It feels great! And we are getting a much closer relationship already!
It is such a nice feeling when they are asking to learn about things!! I love the relationship that is forming with my boys and I--so I totally understand what you are feeling!!
Glad things are going so well! I'm excited for you! Homeschooling is a great choice for having a closer relationship with your kids! Sometimes it's hard, but overall it's a positive experience! We just finished our 10th year and will be starting our 11th. Wow, time flies when you're having fun! Not ALL fun, but all WELL worth it! I wouldn't change it for the world!
