I just can't get a society that comes up with this stuff.

I just got though reading this autobiography from
    http://www.amazon.com/Stolen-Life-M...=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1313607268&sr=1-1

It is a horrible in her words biography of her abuse and she is explicit about what the disgusting man made her do in grooming, dressing, etc.

The book is a very tough read but the book needed to be written. I hope everyone gets there head out of the sand and sees this sickness.

This stuff is right along the stuff that pedophiles love.

I don't personally believe pedophiles search out 'sexy' kids. BUT BUT BUT

That does not mean we should dress our little girls up like they are on sale.

Never on my dd. I don't consider myself really ... uptight about clothing, BUT I don't let my dd wear anything that makes her look like she's much older than she is. No belly shirts, no thong underwear, no high riding shorts or tight shirts. NO WAY.

(ftr- my dd doesn't even have her ears pierced. I felt it was her body, her decision. I don't care either way but she has decided she's fine without. You would not BELIEVE how many times I've had people comment and ask when we were having it done!)

    Ugh.

Ok to be honest when I read your title I was recalling when I turned sixteen and I wanted my mother to get me a nice nighty. She got me a granny gown. I was really disappointed. It wasn't so I could flounce in front of others it was for me to feel nice about what I was wearing. But.....that being said I think the major issue here is France and a lot of other countries in the world have a huge child sex trade and no they won't bat an eye. If they did that would mean they would have to do something to fix that issue. North America seems to me to be the last frontier on protecting children from sexual exploitation. It still happens here too sadly but not on the front pages of magazines. And frankly I don't know about you ladies but I despise bras and I have never found them comfy. So what child at four I wonder would really be jumping up and down asking mommy for one???? Just another sad, degenerate way for society to deteriorate. :(

Did you know that the bra was created by a French doctor and it had absolutely nothing to do with support but rather to make the bossom look more appealing?

When I saw the thread title I thought "oh my God, take away the child's innocence" and then I thought about Jen Benne Ramsey (how ever it's spelled)... the little beauty queen who died at such a young age and it makes me wonder how many more of those cases you would see by dressing younger girls like that... who do they need to impress with lingerie? Oh my heavens... unreal isn't it?

Such stuffs must be banned. I have two small girls and really worried about the kind of dressing culture these teens adopt. Parents must take action against these companies

imo, designers can design whatever they want but it's the parents who decided what their 4-12 year olds wear. Our oldest is 13 and we still have a say in what she can and cannot wear including the undergarments/PJs.
My girls will not be wearing such items and if they do, it will be when they are off working and they spend their own money.
