Good Morning Ladies, I am looking for a group of people that would be willing, on a monthly basis, to let me send you a scan or pictures of my drawings to see if this is something you would use in your home, classroom, etc. Most of my ideas will be for kitchens and maybe homeschool class rooms and possibly bathrooms. My boss wants to see if the product would sell before he makes a bunch of the items. He is willing to make some of the items and send them to the test group to see if you like the style, quality, tell us what you would pay for the item (not that you have to pay). I guess I should mention that I work for Shively and Carter Custom Crafted Cabinets. He really liked the idea of getting responses from homeschool moms. This month I drew up nine drawer organizers. Thanks for reading this. Deena, if you want to be a test person, we'll just work around your trip. Thanks for any help you all can give me. Kim R
Wow, Kim I would love to be a tester. What about making something to work for a RV (just kidding on that part) but I would love to help u if you would want us.
EWWW, EWWWW, I WILL I WILL!!! I LOVE this kind of off topic stuff! It really isn't so off topic since it gives us more ideas for storing our homeschool stuff. I had to switch carpenters and now the one I got just got my drawing yesterday for a couple of the modules I need built. He says *well the normal height and width for this is blah blah* I said *yeah well NORMAL doesn't fly around this place*.. Wait till he works with me some more on my closet and kitchen pantry.. He was surprised I was so specific about my items. I had measured my globe, 3 ring binders and magazine holders, not to mention my board games and crafts. And even had measured for a microscope, even though I have yet to settle one. What good does storage do you if you *junk* can't fit?kwim?
Kim, I wouldn't mind being a tester. Not sure what all is involved, but let me know more. Thanks for offering to work around the trip! Tina, You're so funny. I'd love to hear what that guy has to say about your spec.'s and info.! Hey, when you're done with yours, can you design a house and stuff for me too?!
Woweee...does this mean we get to act like lab rats, too? lol I'll help if you still need more of us.
Hi Everyone, Thanks so much!! I hope no one will laugh at my primative drawings (HummHumm, Tina LOL) Seems like he just wants sketches from me. Not much is involved, Deena, I do drawings, send you all out the ones Larry decides might work, and you look at them, tell me if it's something you might use and how much you think you would pay for it (I think he wants that part), and then when he makes some at the cabinet shop he will send one to the people who want to try it out for us thus making you our test group. She, you can act like a lab rat anytime you want too, this project should not be harmful to rats so it should be OK. :>). Yes, I can use your help as well!! Kris, RV's have kitchens, baths, and homeschool rooms, I'll just think a little smaller, that's all. I 'll mention this fact to the "boss" and see if he wants to think that route also. I certainly don't see why not. Say hi to Miss C from Miss C. Tina, I'd love to be in your home when you are talking to the guy about specs. I'd just be grinning all the time, I'm sure. Normal doesn't work with me either, this is why we have CUSTOM pieces, heh? My dh went to Lowe's to buy a door for our last house, found one he liked, the guy waiting on him said, how big do you need it, and dh just said Yeah. The guy looked at him funny. dh said, I have a saws-all, I don't have a specific door size. I laughed (not out loud, of course) It was an old house and we cut holes whatever size we wanted for doors, windows, etc) I have to say that I have never measured a globe, though. But, it makes sense. Jackie, ABall, and MarilynTX, Thanks so much. I hope it will be fun for us all. I'll be sure and let all know when I'll be sending out the first sketches. I can certainly use all the opinions I can get! I appreciate all your help, I knew you all would come through for me. Thanks so much!! (you all may just help keep me employed for a while LOL) Kim
that sounds like fun. Archetecture was always my fav subject in Highschool I've been drooling over a refridgerator drawer my friend has for sodas.. But I'm poor folk. LOL no fancy drawers for me.
No fancy drawers for me either Syele, but one can always drool and look. I'll add you to the list. Thanks! Kim
Kris, Got an email from Larry this morning, he likes the idea of eventually going the route of building for RV's. Cool, Huh? Kim
Thanks Ladies, Larry was pleased with the response, and we have enough of you on board now. I certainly appreciate your doing this for me. You have saved my job (at least for a while LOL) KimR
Kim, that is so cool I think RVers need more storage and what a wonderful thing to do. since we have been Rving I have meet so many homeschoolers who are RVing. It will be a good market. Even the people who sell RV's say they are selling more to younger families now days then ever. Can't wait. I am glad we could save your JOB MS. KIM oh Miss C. said to tell Miss C she said hi too.
If you need more people I would love help. By the sound of it you have all you need, but please keep me in mind. I would love to see what you are making.
Amy, you surely can help. I'll add you to the list. To everyone who said they would help, please send me your mailing address so I will have it on hand to send you things snail mail as needed. Hopefully soon I'll be sending out some test samples of usable storage ideas. Thanks so much, Kim R
Kris, I know yours by heart! Deena, I'll get yours off your profile. ABall, I'll look at the message. Thanks all for doing this. Kim
