Hubby began 3rd shift this week so today was our first "4 day week". Today, our very first "(F)unschool Friday", we went to see a model train display at a local visitors center. We then went to a (very) small train store that a friend said we just needed to see (not impressed with their stock or prices). Next we went "into town" where we were and saw some reindeer they have on display (poor things). This lead us to discuss the fact that male reindeer lose their antlers in early winter and means Santa's reindeer must all be female. The ones we saw must have been male, no antlers.
We continued the train theme yesterday, we went to Lowes Kids Workshop and the kids made Candy Cane Trains and then we went to the mall for a huge train display.... then we came home to watch the snow fall, and fall, and fall.
